History



1994 | Noal S.A. was founded in 1994. Since then, it has owned modern facilities and a wide range of carefully elaborated products which soon made it competitive in the domestic as well as in the foreign markets. All this allowed the company to achieve a rapid and successful commercial evolution.
 
1995 | Noal’s first exports were carried out successfully. The destination was Paraguay.
 
1996 | Important investments made this year allowed the company to double its productive capacity.
 
1997 | Noal got into the Chilean and Mexican markets.
 
1998 | In November 1998, the Government of the Province of Córdoba gave the company the “Award for the Small Company with the Largest Exported Volume”. This award stressed our idea that quality is essential for development.
 
1999 | In December 1999, Noal obtained the ISO 9001:1994 certificate for its Quality Management System in the fields of design, development, production, commercialization, and after-sales service of hard, semi-hard, soft and fresh cheeses. As a result, the company became the first dairy SME (Pyme for its acronym in Spanish) in Argentina to certify all of its cheese lines.
 
2000 | The project to enlarge the plant’s productive capacity was carried out.
 
2001 | The construction work was completed. As a result, the plant’s milk storage capacity increased from 160,000 liters per day to 400,000 liters per day, on a 1,800 m2 surface area.At the end of this year, the company began to export some of its products to the American and Canadian markets.
 
2002 | After several international audits were successfully carried out, Noal was authorized to export to different destinations. One of the most demanding inspections was the one conducted by the SAG (Secretary of Agriculture) of Chile.
 
2003 | The company got the re-certification for its Quality Management System, according to the new requirements of the standard ISO 9001:2000.
 
2005 | Noal received the “Award to the Exported Volume”, granted by the Chamber of Foreign Trade of Córdoba and the Government of the Province of Córdoba.
 
2006 | The renovation to the concentrated whey and milk receiving lines was started. In order to meet the requirements for the implementation of a HACCP program, some facilities were redesigned. A new packaging line with leading-edge technology was installed and equipped. In October 2006, Noal was given the “Award to the Argentine Export”, granted by the Ministry of Economy and Production and sponsored by Coface and Prensa Económica. It was awarded the “Export Award”, granted by A.E.R.C.A in November 2006 and the “Export-Ar 2006 Award” in the “Consolidation in International Markets” category in December 2006. Once again, the company got the re-certificate for its Quality Management System, according to the standard ISO 9001:2000.
 
2007 | The molding line for semi-hard and hard cheeses was automated. New equipment for concentrating whey was installed. The work for renovating the receiving line and enlarging and remodeling different facilities was completed.
 
2008 | The sales department started to work on the development of businesses to export AMF (Anhydrous Milk Fat) and 25 kg blocks of butter. In the same year, an important volume of exports of these products was carried out. In December, Noal was given the ExportAr Award in the “New Market Opening” category.
 
2009 | The company got the re-certificate for its Quality Management System according to the standard ISO 9001:2008.
A bactofuge was incorporated in the cheese manufacturing process in order to carry out the initial treatment of the milk.
 
2010 | For this year many improvements were planned in different areas. The most outstanding were the following:
- Doubling the factory’s storage capacity for hard cheeses.
- Installing a new automated line for molding soft cheeses.
- Installing a Mozzarella manufacturing line.
- Building an activated sludge plant for the factory’s wastewater treatment.

2011 | Activated Sludge Treatment Plant
In early October, Noal set up an activated sludge treatment plant so as to comply with the present environmental regulations. This modern aerobic fermentation plant has an advantage over the commonly used lagoon systems, since it occupies a minimum of the available land while giving wastewaters the required treatment.
 
2012 | New Mozzarella Production Line
During the first part of the year, Noal worked on a project to purchase and install a Mozzarella production line with a processing capacity of 2,300 kg/h. This acquisition has allowed a monthly production of 675 tons of Mozzarella and reached exports of 2,000 tons.

Cooling Rooms
A 2,730 m3 cooling room for 704 pallets of finished products and two 2,262 m3 cooling rooms for hard cheese were built and set up, each of the latter with a storage capacity of 508 pallets. To continue its steady growth, Noal is planning to finish the construction of four more cooling rooms in 2012.

Increased Production Capacity
An ALPMA automatic filler for soft cheese (Filler AFE), with a production capacity of 2,500 kg/h, was installed. For the year 2012, the installation of six new double ‘O’ (double-circle tank), flat-sloping base vats, with a capacity of 12,500 liters each is projected.
